The Swap-App will be like the famous bartering marketplaces of yore, but modernized. The gist of it is as follows.
You have stuff you don’t like, don’t need, and would love to get rid of.
There’s other stuff you want, like, and need, if only you could afford it!
Well there’s a solution, and one that doesn’t involve generating ever-more carbon in our suffering atmosphere and burning the Amazon to a crisp. The solution is simple! You simply swap the stuff you don’t want any more for the stuff your neighbor has, that you want!
Our algorithm will match up your interests to the people getting rid of stuff nearby you, and allow you trade judiciously, with (best of all!) no money exchanging hands, ever!
You’ll be able to search near you for items, too, and even put together a ‘barter-shop’ of goods you’re trying to get rid of. You’ll be able to assign an approximate value to your goods, and you can make an offer to a neighbor to select from your tradable goods for the item you want from theirs! If the approximate values don’t ‘add up’, there will also be a bundling option, where you can trade more than one item for a higher value one.
Of course, if you simply have *too much* stuff and just want it gone, there will be a ‘totally free!’ option as well.
We’ll offer a small cost premium version with extra perks, such as no inline ads, and extra ‘barter shop’ features. We’re still working out what the lowest cost is that we can offer the premium edition for.
